Symbiotic Villa, Zaha Hadid's exotic house

Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid has done it again. Look at her Symbiotic Villa, a house that's more like an exotic, angular beehive than a mansion. She designed this dwelling for the Next-Gene 20 project in Taiwan, where twenty of the world's most progressive architects show their stuff, creating houses that look like they'd be right at home on a distant planet.

Hadid is one of our favorite architects. She's dreaming up structures that look radically different from any other we've seen, mixing up the organic with the angular, all equipped with equally pleasing interiors. Just look at her Guggenheim Museum planned for Vilnius, Lithuania, or check out her upcoming Aquatics Center for the 2012 Olympics in London.
